Minnesota senate race on MTP

They've got the candidates for Senate from Minnesota on Meet the Press. Klobuchar, the Dem, says she supported the Patriot Act. Gag.

Who are pro-civil-liberties voters supposed to choose in that race?

(If I were in Minnesota, I would of course vote for the DFL candidate, but what's the deal with supporting the Patriot Act?)

It was weird, she had the perfect chance to show her straightforward opposition to the Bush response to terrorism, and she gave one of those timid responses we always heard from Democrats before the momentum started shifting.

I notice she's got a 15% lead or so in the polls. That's good news.

I saw about half of it, she sounded very competent. Kennedy was a Rove talking head.
