Hey Connecticut! WTF?!
I'm sure this thread's been done to death, but I've been away. Dipshit has a 20 point lead over Lamont?! Are you fucking kidding?!

1. Yes I am wondering about it too..
It has to be all of the cross over Republicans supporting him.....I can't believe Dems would still support him especially in light of his supporting Hastert....

Welcome to DU!!:hi:

13. Well, I don't think Ned is getting a boatload of Independents
which he needed to win. Republicans in this state think Joe is OK. Their guy Schlesinger is a joke and an embarrassment to them.

2. A major union pulled their support from Joe and gave it to Lamont...
I don't believe those polls for a second. It's all about projection.

3. I am watching in disbelief
Lamont had only commercial for a while there, and it sucked. Lieberman had a whole bunch. He seems to have taken the momentum back.

6. pretty sad that the only way to win is to spend like a drunken sailor
on tv advertising and direct mail. This is supposed to be democracy?

4. Meh, not too surprising...
especially with the Republican candidate only garnering single digits. Lieberman, then, has almost all the Republican vote and a large minority of the Democratic, which is enough to put him well in the lead.

8. We win big if Lamont wins, we win small if Joementum wins
and if the GOP wins in CT, then at least Joementum is out.

For me, this is all win / win.

:toast: Lamont

10. Exactly...
there's no way the GOP will win in Connecticut, and the idea that Joe will caucus with the GOP is equally unlikely -- after all, he does intend to run for re-election in 2012, I believe. Siding with the GOP will ruin that for him. So, either way, we win. Connecticut is a safe Democratic seat.

5. I think LIEberman is polling high because he will be buried on the ballot
with the green party, the natural law party, and the communist party. I think it is a lot closer than the polls show

7. Just two weeks ago they were tied.
I find it hard to believe that Joe suddenly has jumped ahead with a double digit lead.

9. Could it be some of those being polled are not aware,
have always voted for Lieberman (D-CT)and still think Lieberman is the Democratic nominee?
