Bush hasn't signed the Torture Bill yet, has he?
Why not? Wasn't it the most important thing we could do to protect ourselves? Didn't he go stamp his feet in Congress to get his ass covered? Well, why isn't he covering it?

1. He's waiting for a grand testicles-cattle prod signing ceremony
where an Iraqi they claim confessed to polishing Osama's knob will be electrically shocked by Bush flipping a giant power switch right after he signs the bill into law.

He may even wear an executioner's hood for dramatic effect and mimic the Iraqi pleading for his life.

And then the crowd will go wild.

2. I believe he's planning...
to use it as a huge prime time photo-op just before the November election.

3. See, and I believe

he's holding it in case they don't win the election. Somehow, I don't think he's in any rush, and I don't understand why. This is all about him, and he benefits the most, so wouldn't you rather cover your ass sooner rather than later?

5. Isn't there a time limit
for the Prez to sign passed bills after each congressional session? Bills unsigned after so long a time just die on the vine, or so I seem to recall.

9. Does it really matter?
He'll just gut it with signing statements anyway!

It's bad enough as written but I'm sure it doesn't give him the lattitude he needs to "protect" us, at least in his pin-headed ideology.
