Got that right my prediction before Nov. 7th Haster will resign as speaker. in fact he might loose his seat, it's a long shot but if the dem's start to pour money at Laesch running against him i can see some DEVASTATING ads against Haster.

3. Naw! He's gone tomorrow.
Washington, DC. Oct 5, 2006. In the eye of the Foley shitstorm, Dennis Hastert stepped down as Speaker of the House today. He will remain in his Congressional seat but has handed in the keys to his leadership office.

That's what's gonna happen tomorrow, I suspect. If he resigns his Congressional seat, it's only because the shitstorm is much, much bigger than anybody imagined. However, just resigning as Speaker is a huge step which the Repukes would only do if the situation was pretty bad.

I think what we're seeing is the entire Repuke leadership in tatters, from the White House to the Congress to K Street.

They're finished. All of them.
