I am now proud to announce
that the leader of the Australian Labor Party has now made it official policy that if the ALP wins the next federal election in 2007, they will withdraw all Australian troops from Iraq, leaving only enough to guard diplomats. I realize that we do not have that many troops there, but we need to send Bush a message that we do not support his lying, corrupt regime.

6. The ALP is slightly in front in the polls but
a lot could happen between now and the next election. Like the Bush administration, the corrupt Howard administration has the sympathy of the electronic media and the Murdoch newspapers.

It is very frustrating because its not the intelligent people that we have to win over, its the air-heads that are more concerned with what Paris Hilton is up to.

Anyway, wouldn't it be a wonderful sight to see Bush left out in the cold?

9. Nancy, wonderful to hear from you again
Dont you ever sleep?

It was the ALP's policy in the last election as well, but the sniveling Howard government kept using the term "cut and run" and it didn't help our cause. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, and a lot more innocent people have died. I think a lot of people are just starting to realize that they have been conned.

Under Bush the US has lost a lot of respect from the rest of the world.

Under Howard Australia has become a more racist and greedy country.

I feel confident that from the beginning of 2008 we will turn the corner and the world situation will start to improve.

13. The election must be held by October 2007
Instead of fixed terms (which in my opinion is the sensible thing to do), the elected government can govern for up to 3 years. With that system, the incumbent party has the advantage of going to the people when the polls are in their favor.

It is true that it is compulsory for everybody to vote. That is part of the system that I do go along with. With such a small population (approx 21 million) it makes sense for everyone to be accountable.
