Polls: Top Senate Races Very Competitive
(snip)
The Mason-Dixon polls done for McClatchy Newspapers and MSNBC found:

--Ford had the backing of 43 percent in Tennessee, while former Chattanooga, Tenn., Mayor Corker was backed by 42 percent. Corker was ahead by 16 points in midsummer.

--Tester has pulled ahead of Burns in Montana, by 47 percent to 40 percent. They were tied in August polling.

--Brown had 45 percent and DeWine had 43 percent in Ohio, findings similar to those of a Quinnipiac poll released a week ago.

1. I think those numbers are fairly accurate.
Burns is done for, as is DeWine. DeWine's favorables are too low for him to make any gains and there is a big Democratic tide in Ohio.

Ford is in good shape, but he needs more money to really press it home. His favorable/unfavorable ratio is very good and that creates potential for big gains in the home stretch.
