Republicans Boo Pelosi's Call to Investigate Foley - Boehner Blocks Motion

Boehner blocks Pelosi’s investigation resolution: Surprise!
By: John Amato on Saturday, September 30th, 2006 at 5:30 AM

Boehner objects because he hasn’t seen the resolution. Hmmm. Might it be because your hands are a bit filthy regarding the Foley Sex scandal cover-up?

Video-WMP at link: http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/09/30/boehner-blocks-pelosis-investigation-resolution-surprise/

The clerk reads the resolution calling for an ethics investigation into Foley - Republicans boo Nancy when she asks for a recorded vote. With a huge sex scandal brewing–they boo Nancy. I think they should take a long look in the mirror.

*****

A neutered unanimous version (Boehner's) passed the matter on to the Ethics Committe eliminating Pelosi's call to investigate the GOP cover-up.

from http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/30/foley.quits /

Boehner blocked a vote Friday on a resolution offered by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi asking the House Ethics Committee to begin a preliminary investigation into Foley's conduct and the GOP leadership's response to it.

The California Democrat's resolution would have started an investigation of "when the Republican leadership was notified and what corrective action was taken," according to her statement.

Instead, Boehner made a motion that the Foley matter be sent to the House Ethics Committee, which passed 409-0 (where it will die a slow death).

10. GOP protects pedophiles like the Vatican does
and just like the Vatican does in its purge of gay priests, the GOP goes after LGBTs while protecting their pedophiles.

13. Nancy's question asking Republican's how'd they like to take their
posion, straight up or on the rocks. Frankly, I'm not so sure they'll be happy with the results of the investigation.

14. I'm afraid it will never see the light of day
once sequestered in the infamous GOP-run House Ethics Committee just as I'm afraid yet another election will be stolen in November that might change that dynamic.
