"There ought to be a poll tax to take the literacy test before voting"A.C.
Guess who? I just found this at Media Matters!

Coulter: "There ought to be a poll tax to take the literacy test before voting"

On the September 29 edition of Fox News' Your World, right-wing pundit Ann Coulter claimed: "Way too many people vote. We should have fewer people voting. There ought to be a poll tax to take the literacy test before voting." Coulter made this claim after suggesting that people who "would vote for Democrats because gas prices were going up" are "risking another terrorist attack."

From the September 29 edition of Your World:

COULTER: Right, but think about that. I mean, that -- that is why the Democrats will pick up seats this fall. The fact that anyone would vote for Democrats because gas prices were going up -- oh, OK, that's worth risking another terrorist attack. "I'm upset. Gas prices are high." No. Way too many people vote. We should have fewer people voting. There ought to be a poll tax to take the literacy test before voting.

3. Actually, I think that proposal would benefit Ds far more than Rs...
Make that literacy test as hard as possible - spelling, logic, and grammar included! I think we'd drop most of the 29%ers from the rolls right off the bat...

9. Yeah.....
would actually lose a lot of Dem votes from people I know here in Missouri.
Out of resentment of elitism more than anything else.

4. "Way too many people vote." So, will you be doing your part and
sittin' out the upcoming election, Manny? It's the least you could do to help rectify this situation, and it sure works for me!

7. Republicans now embrace a return to segregation
only this time segregation will be mandated by the federal government. Most Republicans favor repealing the XII, XIII, XIV, XV,XVI, XVIII, XXI, and XXIV amendments.

But how long will it take them to trash the Bill of Rights?

8. Is there an alternative word for Fascist? Because she/he would probably...
...just prefer we trash the Bill of Rights and all the rest of the Amendments, but calling her a fascist (as I would like to) just makes them so mad, I guess because they know that that's what they are.

11. There ought to be a test to determine that you're human
(which Coultergeist would not pass).
