The rightwing extremist takeover of this nation started long ago. They laid the groundwork slowly and carefully, for years. It has paid off for them, but, as we all know, "Things Fall Apart." Franco's fascists fell, the Nazis fell, and the Soviet Union fell -- eventually. We must view our struggle to take this nation back to the ideals it was founded upon as not a "wait-until-next-election!" project, but as a struggle that will most likely take years and years. We will most likely be fighting for our entire lives.

The effort to develop our own media and echo chamber is paramount, as is the struggle to secure fair elections. I know you all know this, but I think we're going to have to start realizing that we may not see the big payoffs for a long time. We are in a long fight against Christo-fascism, plain and simple.

Good luck to all of us. We'll need it.
