mccain should be made to give back his medals and honours
as he has proven that he is totally and completely unworthy of them.

3. He was tortured in the Hanoi Hilton for years...
...he can keep his medals and honors; he's more than earned them.

That doesn't mean anyone has to vote for him, though.

Peace.

5. in HIS case especially, one would think he would know better, but
he has sold his soul, and therefore demonstrated his total and complete unworthiness.

7. I can't agree with you there
although I can understand how he has provoked your emotions. He's provoked mine, too.

I'd never vote for him. But I'd never support stripping the medals from a man who was tortured and maimed for his country, just because I disagree with his politics. *That* would be a true act of dishonor.

If you look up the word liberal, here's what you get:

Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.

Let's focus on that tolerant and broad-minded part a bit more. Wounded war vets get a pass in my book. Just sayin'.

:-)

Peace.

9. Tolerance and braod mindedness ends where torture begins.
McCain has dishonored himself and the medals he won. He doesn't deserve to have them any more.

conclusion.

4. I lived in Arizona for most of the 90's
And I'm ashamed to say that I actually voted for that pathetic fuck. That he of all people supports this piece of shit bill is sickening.

6. McCain just keeps playing his desperate hand...
Edited on Fri Sep-29-06 01:55 AM by LaPera
pretending to challenge Bush...but its all about getting BushCo support...They promise him he'll be the republican nominee for president and will even have their support...IF, he plays ball...McCain eats it up... and BushCo always comes away with a huge laugh...They despise him, not a chance will they hand over their fascist government to a guy who may cave....McCain will keep trying to ensure he will get all the voting machines and no knife in the back as well as (the borrowed) Rove's brilliant slime...So funny...Because they will only do what benefits themselves and their fascist agenda. Still, McCain continues to pretend to be obstinate, and will continue to press them...They reassure, (and laugh)...But not a chance in hell McCain! Wake up!

Stop selling your soul McCain while selling America out!

17. YEP ...
He is not one of them ... Never has been, never will be, and they ARE playing him, and in the end will NOT back him (with one rider, as long as he puts Jeb on as VP) ...

He is like Arlene Spector ... They talk a good game, make a deal, but in the end don't even begin to challenge these criminals for real ...

12. F**K him, MAKE him keep them...
And know that he has rendered them, his service to his country and all that it stood utterly meaningless.

And I hope the pompous bastard KNOWS that now HE is the one responsible for someone blinking 'T O R T U R E' in morse code.

He earned them then. They're his.

16. There are two kinds of people:
those who, when abused by others live the rest of their lives trying to make sure that doesn't happen to other people, and those who thirst to do to others what was done to them.

McCain is a stooge; the establishment will only let him be President if the Bushies get too reviled to be elected.
