Evil's still evil in anybody's name..
The following from Don Henley's "If Dirt Were Dollars" seems rather a propos tonight:

We got the bully pulpit
And the poisoned pen
We got a press no better
Than the public men
This brave new world
Gone bad again
God's finest little creatures
Looking brave and strong
Whistling past the graveyard
Nothing can go wrong
Quoting from the scriptures
With patriotic tears
We got the same old men
With the same old fears
Standing at attention
Wrapped in stars and stripes
They hear the phantom drummers
And the nonexistent pipes
These days the buck stops nowhere
No one takes the blame
But evil is still evil
In anybody's name

2. Yes, evil is still evil
and somehow even worse when it is committed in the name of God. Evil is an apt description for Bush and his neocon followers.

When will their actions reach rock bottom? Never, until enough of us stand together, and vote them out of office, and out of power. Until then, there is truly no bottom to hit.

4. I felt the same at one time
I think that by now, his megalomania has progressed, and he wishes to be considered a god, like the Pharaohs of Egypt. He is a very, very dangerous man.

6. That gives me chills...
You make it look so real, too real, as a matter of fact. As long as I can post, and read comments by people who are willing to stand up for the values our country was founded on, I will not be alone. Thank you, ddeclue. You have an amazing talent, and I do enjoy your posts.

Time for this great-grandma to limp her way to bed, but to you, and all of other people like you, I give my thanks. You make it easier for me to sleep at night. That is saying a great deal, as far as I'm concerned.NGU.
