I called Hagel's office and Ben Nelson's. I also threw a UPS
cretin out of the office because he was in here when I was talking to Nelson's office and he said he was 'for' torture.

His justification: 'They' (whoever that is) aren't American citizens and don't have the same rights as we do. And we won't torture anyway.

I told him he was in the wrong uniform, get his ass in army fatigues. And then I told him if he didn't get out of here I'd call his supervisor.

He told me he wasn't trying to make me mad. I told him too late.

This administration is tearing this country apart.

2. Obviously the UPS idiot had never READ the US Constitution...
...because NOWHERE in the Constitution does it say that any rights except voting or holding office are reserved for US Citizens. Those rights apply to anyone under US jurisdiction.

I'm having a hard time not crying today.

sorrowfully,
Bright

4. And by that reasoning
our soldiers aren't citizens of whatever country decided now that torture is ok and they too don't have to abide by any old conventions signed long ago. That reasoning works both ways. The UPS guy doesn't support the troops.

14. unable to get him to see
that advocating what they're doing today is breaking not only the geneva conventions but encourages other people to harm our troops with full vindication because the USA does it? We are to be above doing the same things they do to people. Even if it feels like we're doing all we can, there are some boundaries we can't cross. Otherwise we're just a more wealthy "them".

Of course, you've probably tried saying this to him. lol.. sorry.

16. Sorry - I think you misunderstood me!
My husband is a FedEx guy, and he agrees with us, and would agree with the OP. He would have joined the OP in screaming about this mess, and the OP wouldn't have had to kick him out of her office!

7. MORONS!!!
Come on, the guy is paid to carry boxes and Next-Day Letters around. I'm guessing he has some nice muscles, and would come in handy for lifting the Sparklett's bottle onto the cooler.

Don't be too harsh on him because he probably is doing all he can to get by on his high school education, while spending his free time watching O'Leilly and listening to rush while driving his truck.

8. Little asshole had a shaved head, probably 30 years old or
so, and I swear I could take him now that I've put on weight since I quit smoking.

But I KNOW FOR A FACT that I can out-think the squirrelly little bastid even in a coma.

9. An ignorant sheep that typifies our most pressing problem.
As a people, we are willfully ignorant and criminally negligent, they truly have no understanding of, nor interest in anything of substance any longer. We have become so poorly educated that the simple task of connecting the dots is beyond the capabilities of a majority.

If so, why not have enlistment papers printed for him the next time he shows up?

15. How can ANYONE in their right mind be "for torture"?????
I weep for this country, I really do. Ugh.

Just a note: Calling his supervisor probably won't get him reprimanded, but promoted. UPS is a VERY "red" company.
