How Now Brown Dow
When you hear the Republic Fat Cats howling about a record stock market, just hit them with these little facts:

In the final six years of Bill Clinton's DEMOCRATIC administration, the Dow started at 3,800 in Jauary of 1994. Over the rest of that DEMOCRATIC adminstration, it rose to 11,600. That's approximately a 300% growth rate.

300%

In the six years of Il Dunce's REPUBLIC regime, the same Dow rose from 11,600 to 11,700.

That's what? 1/10th of 1%?

Keep howling, shitheads.

Scroll down at this link a bit for the complete history, from a close of 100 points to a close of 11,600 points. You get extra credit if you create a graph that compares the Dow's ups and downs to Republic and DEMOCRATIC adminstrations.

1. And the Puggies have to run a credit-card economy to do it.
The other important thing to remember is that Clinton paid down the debt while the market was soaring during his reign. The current clowns are making things look OK while living high by just pulling out the credit card & running up the tab. The defense contractors etc. are going "great guns" (sorry) but nobody's paying the bills.

2. Yeah, but Clinton wasn't an idiot
1/10th of 1% is pretty damn good for an idiot! (sarcasm)

3. I remember the Clinton days - my commute was 90 minutes each way.
There were so many cars on the highway that you couldn't get to work in the morning. Now my ride is down to 55 minutes.

At least I can thank George for clearing the roads for me.

4. This is the scam for which Bush was put in office
---- The interest on the national debt is nothing less than the largest income redistribution on the planet. Ordinary Americans being saddled with colossal public debt, while the wealthy beneficiaries of that deficit spending get their taxes cut in the deal. The Bush administration is all about the looting of the public treasury by the wealthy corporatist class,,.... plain and simple.

5. You're absolutely right, of course
There's no doubt whatever in my mind that what you say is true. It is true of *every* 'tax cutting' REPUBLICICK administration. These grifters have simply raised it to an artform.

The problem is, the American sheeple are (sad but true) too stupid or ill informed to understand the scam.

But when we compare the easier-to-understand facts that the most recent DEMOCRATIC administration gave us a 300% market growth and the REPUBLICICK grifters gave us a 0.1% growth, they ***might*** get at least a clue.

6. Hey, can you help me with this one...
I'm an absolute idiot when it comes to stock market stuff. But this reich wing jerk at this blog http://gopulse.blogspot.com/2006/09/11722-number-that-will-haunt-democrats.html has some claims I'd like to refute. Can you give me some pointers on what to say or some good sources to prove how wrong he is? Thanks.

7. Go the the link in the linked thread
Track the Dow's closing and milestones with the party in power.

Also tell him what was cited in the OP.

Clinton: 300% growth in the Dow.

Bush: 0.01% growth in the Dow.

Then cite the link in the thread linked in the OP.
