Musgrave: Gay Marriage ‘Is The Most Important Issue That We Face Today’
Congratulations everyone. We can now celebrate.
Poverty has been eliminated.
World hunger has been wiped out.
There's no longer anyone who is unemployed.
We've won the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Genocide in the Sudan is over.
Every country on Earth is now a vibrant, liberal Democracy.
People throughout the Middle East are holding hands and singing "Kumbayah"

Because if "Gay Marriage is the most important issue" all real, serious issues must have been resolved.

14. Yes, I give thanks to my oak trees every morning -
- well, they're not exactly "mine" - as I drink my herb tea - which has given its life to me - well, to be correct, we are just sharing the same life, as my garden will share mine upon my demise. It's wonderful to live in the forest. Gets a little lonely at times. Glad I have internet. (sigh)

2. Perhaps that's why there were no roses and lollipops in Baghdad.
They were all in use for all the awful gay unions occurring here in the US.

How ignorant would we be if we didn't have weak, stupid, Republican talking points to edumacate us?

Thanks, Marilyn--and do keep talking, please? :puke:

3. Actually, even now there are more important issues.
Edited on Wed Sep-27-06 07:39 PM by Kutjara
Like,

Will they ever make Oreo flavored Pop Tarts?
Will Angelina find lasting happiness with Brad?
What is it with Lindsey Lohan?
Does chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck?
Does 'next Thursday' mean tomorrow or a week from tomorrow?
Can I get three White Castle sliders in my mouth at once?

Gay marriage is about three thousand places down the 'important issue' list from these topics. It isn't even an issue, merely something that should be allowed as a matter of course in any halfway sane society.

8. LOL.
Is there really a penguin that turns off the refrigerator light when you close the door?

I just can't understand why gay marriage wouldn't be a life/liberty/pursuit of happiness entitlement.

4. especially right before an election
Thank gawd the Republics don't forget these important issues to remind voters right before an election. It's not like we have an immoral war and collapsing economy to worry about.

5. So appx 4 - 6% of the US population marrying EACH other
Edited on Wed Sep-27-06 07:12 PM by JustFiveMoreMinutes
I mean having the OPPORTUNITY of marrying one another, is a death toll to known civilization?

Why is the US grouped with the extremist Muslim countries when it comes to gay issues?
Even ISRAEL allows gays in the military and they are the chosen people!!?????????

So strange these times be.

(Why did I just picture a devout Minister in Salem circa longlong ago standing in the pulpit shouting 'Witches are the most important issue addressing us today?)

6.  “when you’re in a cultural war like this, you have to respond with equal
and hopefully greater force if you want to win.”

See that? Because conservatives are so mindless and agressively insecure, notice how they always have to resort to "force."

Is she advocating bombing the gays or something?

I mean we already know christian conservative extremists like her already quietly advocate blowing up women's clinics.

They won't say so, but we all know better.

BTW, when does George Macaca speak? Or his he too busy stuffing heads of animals into the mailboxes of African Americans?

7. You know EVEN IF you are a republican
this statement is enough of a reason not to vote for her. She is so disconnected between spin and reality

Do we know how she is doing in the polls?

9. it may not be the most important issue
But it is a real and serious issue for many.
Now, I dont actually agree with, or understand (hmmm, maybe the not understand has something to do with the not agree with?) the desire to be with someone of your own sex, but I figure maybe they dont understand or agree with some of the things I do or have done.

So, I say, if letting them get married and live in pure hell like the married heteros make them happy? go for it.

by the way,,, who gets the headache?

just kidding.. If marriage is all it will take to make them happy, it certainly is not taking anything away from my or my lifestyle what so ever.

10. If she's a mom I SO hope
her kids are gay. Actually, I take that back. She's the kind of evil, sick bigot who would probably disown them and throw them out in the street...undoubtedly praising Jesus all the while.

before developing multiple personalities and serious GI disturbances. Even her kids deserve better than her. Having gay kids is not a punishment, if that's what you were going after. She could fall down a flight of stairs and I wouldn't be upset.

12. The pure stupidity of the religious right!
I question the sanity of any voter who thinks that same-sex marriage is the biggest threat facing the nation, or would vote for a candidate that would say such a thing.
