I am not sure how loudly to laugh. I guess I just thought I was learning some political grown-up stuff, but I get amazed every day.

I mean, speaking before a group of College Democrats and calling the chairman an unidentified flying object.

"She also emphasized repeatedly that this year’s election would be close and that Democrats need to increase voter turnout and do whatever they can to help.

“Turnout is going to be absolutely key in some of these places that are adjacent to Washington and GW,” she said.

Though it could be argued that Cahill would be one of the most qualified people to do so, she refrained from attempting to predict the Democrats’ presidential candidate in 2008.

“There is an Unidentified Flying Object rule and in 2004; Howard Dean was the flying object,” said Cahill. “In 2008, there will probably be another.”

Very good, maam. Well done.

I wonder who the next unidentifed flying object will be?

1. And it left the impression that any further flying objects...

would be promptly taken care of, and no longer be a nuisance.

Someone posted this has been an interesting week in politics. Yes, indeed, it has.

And even odder, Begala took a direct on a certain doctor. Or at least it has been perceived that way around parts of the blogosphere. This was almost as bad as the hiring of people by the DNC to pick noses and stand around. My, Paul, you don't do subtle well.

"Vieira: "-saying, 'you need to get a backbone.' Do you think, in a way, Clinton was giving this party a backbone saying, 'When you're accused of not being tough on terror ya gotta speak up.'"

Carville: "Right. You're right."

Begala: "And good Dr. Clinton gave us a spinal transplant on Sunday."

The NBC morning show today.

Things will be interesting.

3. I think it's a funny way to say a candidacy was "unexpected" which it was
considering that it even took Dean by surprise, and everyone had to adjust to a new expectation.

2. Nice picture of the flying object, Lloyd Doggett at Ann Richard's funeral.

He doesn't look threatening at all. It really is a nice picture, courtesy of someone who posted it at Burnt Orange.
