The right Can Never Defeat Keith Olberman. BUT WE CAN!

Before a chorus of mass apoplexy begins, let me explain.

Since Sunday, a number of things have happened. On the "news", the right wing noise machine has been falling over itself to portray an out of control former president daring to be unwilling to participate in the smear attack of "history" that is not only revisionist, but obscene. Along with this, there have been a multitude of Democratic chests that have been swelled with pride as a rightist "journalist" was handed his ass and made to eat it.

And last night, Keith Olberman gave a Pulitzer Prize worthy commentary that showed the media hacks of fox "news" (as well as their accomplices in the rest of the alleged MSM) as the contemptible mouthpieces of a criminal administration that they are.

If recent history has shown us anything, the worst thing that we can do is what the Democratic leadership will likely, by and large and with a few notable exceptions, do. Be silent.

Make no mistake. Keith Olberman's commentaries of late (but ESPECIALLY last night's) have been calls to action. if we applaud his words and do nothing, WE defeat him. Bill Clinton showed the Democratic Party the way on Sunday. He showed that in the face of a bully you fight back and you don't worry about what hannity, coulter, novak and limbaugh will say.

Keith Olberman understands this. We who participate in this forum understand this. I believe that Keith Olberman was not making a prediction last night when he spoke of the free pass for george w bush being over. We've seen too much of the media's joyous as kissing of and water carrying for the vile people of this administration as they continue to knowingly and unquestioningly promulgate lie after lie.

Keith Olberman was challenging the American Public to find it's voice. We, on this forum, are not the type of people who idly sit quietly as the asshole brother-in-law or the moron in the break room spew bile. It is up to us to now encourage those who feel the way we do (a consistent 60+ percent) to speak up with us. As many African American activists say, each one can reach one, each one can teach one.

If we do not raise our voices louder and more passionately than ever before, WE can defeat Keith Olberman in a way the the right wing noise machine ever could.

WE have tobe the media.

You seem to think this is a college class in logic and debate. It's not. This, dear friend, is WAR. Kill or be killed. Not kill or acknowledge your opponent's valid argument.

I suggest you try to stand between two opposing armies and read your arguments, with footnotes and references and end papers. See how long you live. (Nowhere near as long as the Kerry celebration of victory in 2004, I'll bet.)

7. One way we can support Keith and Clinton

(in my opinion) is to follow through with a boycott of ABC and all of it's advertisers. If each one of us picks even one of their advertisers to boycott, imagine the impact that would have...We also have to let them know that we are boycotting them and why.

as a sort of "call to arms"...arms meaning our passion and determination to save our democracy. I'm with you. It's time to show some backbone and fight like hell to take our county back.
