Ouch! HILLARY!!! -----and the other shoe drops
She told reporters on Capitol Hill: "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States,' he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."

1. This is one time I can agree 110% with Senator Clinton
I highly doubt Clinton would stay on his vacation if he saw that memo. Then again I don't think Clinton every took vacations that lasted longer than a week, maybe two tops

I don't believe 9/11 would have happened under Clinton.

22. You know what? I don't think it would have happened under
Poppy Bush either! As much as I didn't like HIM, he did have a brain, and used it...at least once in a while! Poppy was just as uncaring, and totally misunderstood anyone who wasn't RICH, but he was at least reasonably knoegable about foreign affairs. The man has to be cussing his son constantly!!!!

8. Every single thing we have done in terms of airport security
since 9/11 was proposed by Gore's commission in '96 and/or the Hart Rudman team. Every single one.

I don't KNOW that they could have stopped it but it is impossible to have done any less than W&co. did.

I'm with you - at least Gore would've taken it seriously
He probably would've followed through on getting bin-Laden after the Cole. He wouldn't have demoted Richard Clarke. Weekly meetings would've continued. I bet he wouldn't have stayed on vacation and he wouldn't have been on vaction for entire month of August. Airline security would've been stepped up.

I steamed every time the idiot talk host shills and lemmings would say after 9-11 "Aren't you glad Bush is in charge and not Gore?"

and then set it aside so her hubby could go out for more fishing and golfing and vacationing.

19. What about the Present Crisis?
It's all very well to talk about what her husband would have done five years ago, what is she going to do about the torture bill right now? Sounds to me more like changing the subject than courage. If she wants to be our leader, she better stop talking about what her husband would have done and start talking about what she is going to do to lead us out of this moral quagmire.
