Huffington to Big Dog: Dipolomacy (and Elvis) have left the building
Arianna on Clinton vs Fox
By: John Amato on Sunday, September 24th, 2006 at 6:01 PM - PDT

Arianna, who has been very critical of the Clintons in the past makes a great point: The way the Republican WH and Congress is being run it’s very evident that they do not want to work with Democrats and she believes this was a wake-up call for Bill Clinton.

Video-WMP Video-QT

He’s a terrific speaker and thinker with tremendous clout, but the time for diplomacy is over. This administration is incorporating torture into the fabric of our country and I think Chris Wallace’s partisan attempt to knock Bill has reminded him of just that.

(via CNN’s Reliable Sources)

HUFFINGTON: What this may lead to which could be good news is that Bill Clinton may wake up to the fact that there is a real battle going on to define who is going keep America safer. And for him to try to have it both ways, to have Laura Bush do the keynote during his conference, as though we’re all in this together; to have Rupert Murdoch, Chris Wallace’s ultimate boss, do the fund-raiser for his wife, all that stuff is simply not making it as clear and as distinct as it to needs to be for the American people that there are two very different views–and there should be leading up to the ‘06 election–about who is going to keep America safer.

And Bill Clinton needs to decide if he’s just a former president or a former Democratic president, helping his party define what is at stake in the upcoming election. So this may be a good wake-up call for him. What this may lead to which could be good news is that Bill Clinton may wake up call for him.

Later she said:

HUFFINGTON: I mean, I actually like that kind of feisty Bill Clinton more than I like the one who congratulates the President on his handling of Katrina or lets Republicans get away on what is happening in Iraq. I prefer the feisty…

So do I.

HuffPo:

The people who tried to hound him out of office haven’t changed much, though they do now control both houses of Congress and the White House. Back then, he seemed to think fighting them was worthwhile. Now that he’s got his back up again, maybe he’ll rejoin the battle. Nov. 7 is only six and a half weeks away. And nothing less than oversight of the fanatics of the White House is at stake.

6. Exactly
She also has many people who typically sound pretty right wing as "trusted posters", so their posts get through as the early ones.

3. This picture just enables a member of the Bush Cabal

HE COULD HAVE WAITED UNTIL AFTER MIDTERMS AND THEN HAVE HER COME ON BOARD.

but no he didn't,

HE COULD HAVE HAD A MAJOR PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE PATH TO 911 LIES FOR ALL THE WORLD TO HEAR

but no he didn't he had some of his underlings do it.

HE COULD HAVE STOP MAKING EL DIABLO SMILE IN THIS PHOTO FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE

but no he didn't.

I'm glad he spoke up on fox news but either he is totally living in a 'all about me world" or 'Bill's World" Tv show so maybe that interview was a wake up call he needs to get his act together or we are lost to torture,
we have lost our constitution,
we have lost the election and democracy.

He also said that El diablo is not acting uni-lateral for the last 3 months and gave kodos to El diablo's speech at the UN on Keith's show.

"I’ll give you an example. I think the president did quite a good thing by going to the U.N. and trying to have a personal outreach to the people of Iran and while he plainly disagreed with President Ahmadinejad, he resisted the temptation to overly demonize him."
So I think I see in the last couple months that this administration is trying to rely more on diplomacy and more on multilateralism"

He came out and defended Lieberman's stance on the Iraqi War and campaigned for him.

4. I won't lie...the Poppy Bush shit bothers the hell out of me.
Clinton has a right to pick and choose his own friends...it's none of my business. But there's truth in the old adage that if you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.

I truly hope that he's "sick of Karl Rove's bullshit." His words and actions in the days ahead will be the indicator. He thinks he's unhappy now? Wait until his wife runs for president.

5. As well as it should enabling the wife of a War Criminal to look good for
to the world as a partial savior to the world's problems.

I found it disgusting right before mid-terms.
