Regarding the last three, again, they are only parts of bills. That is the problem with our congress. There are no one issue votes. Very often one has to vote no/yes for a bill that includes many issues.

Even so, bold statements are made in this e-mail or whatever you got, regarding every "vote", yet not one specific piece of legislation is cited for any vote. It's easy to distort ANY legislator's record in this fashion. Any. Cherry-picking, capping, and placement help in the distortion.

Don't bother with a point-by-point debunking, as no facts have been offered to debunk. Make the person who sent you that, PROVE IT. Put the burden on them.

And even that is a matter of opinion on which I can understand fully the opposing view. I'm not actually a big fan of Pelosi but I cannot see anything here that needs debunking.

There are no doubt good reasons why she voted like she did. This is just third rate Republican propagandizing and Nancy will get re-elected handily:

1) The first 4 are clearly abortion related. These are all attempts by the WingNuts to nibble away at abortion rights (if anyone asks you where this right or the right to privacy exists in the constitution point them to the 9th Amendment which says We the People retain our all unenumerated rights so that we have a right to a lot of things not in the Constitution.)

2) As for the 5th item - Thank GOD Nancy Pelosi is the a REPUBLICAN COWARD (I'm being redundant) who are so willing to surrender our rights to the terrorists by giving into the torture Nazis and kangaroo courts of the Bush administration. When they come to take you away, I hope you remember that Nancy tried to prevent them from doing it my WingNut friends...It's the Republicans who are the failures, the cowards and the losers.

3) Number 6: Whatever happened to "states rights"? Since when is it any business of the Federal governments? Show me a power in Article I of the Constitution that Congress has to regulate driver's licences? It doesn't - that's a state issue. I guess the Republicans have decided to become the party of big intrusive government and have given up on Ronald Reagan.

4) Number 7: Nothing specific is cited - this is just a meaningless unproveable accusation.

5) Number 8: Guns have no business on airplanes - I know, I'm a pilot and an aerospace engineer - there are too many things that go boom when you shoot at them with guns on a plane and the pilot is more likely to miss and hit one of these things or a passenger than he is to hit a "terrorist". It also makes it possible for a terrorist to surprise the pilot and take his gun away. If everybody is unarmed on a plane, my money is on the passengers ripping a would be terrorists arms out of his sockets and beating him to death with them - ask the "shoe bomber" if you doubt me.
