FILIBUSTER
The Dems in the Senate should filibuster the upcoming "Republican Torture" bill. This would seem to me a no brainer. It is easy to stand up and make a clear and convincing case of the difference between the Dems and the rethuglicans.

Pictures of Abu Ghraib, statements by current and former military heroes, quoting shrubs lies about authorizing torture. All these could be introduced and debated non stop during a filibuster. Don't stop hammering the Republicans support torture just like the North Koreans, like the Saudis, the Syrians, the "communists" and last of course like the Nazi's.

If the Dems let this bill through, I will no longer call myself a Democrat. I must draw a line somewhere

7. BINGO!!! My Thoughts Exactly! I Didn't Even Bother To Comment
about this because as the saying goes.... Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don't!

I would make a comment about Drugs & Red Rover but it would only be to make a comparison about a specific drug and the paranoia that seems to ooze from the WH, so I won't! I surely have no evidence of anything, but the similarities would fit by the behavior and actions that I've seen come from these war MONGRELS!

What I do know for sure is that THEY ARE LIARS... that HAS been proven and THEY ARE CHEATERS TOO! IMO, that too has been proven over and over!

6. A few is all that's needed
A half dozen Senators can maintain a filibuster. All that is needed is the rest of the Dems to NOT vote for cloture this time around. Voting for cloture and then against the bill is typically what they do to try and play both sides of the fence. This allows the bill to pass while crowing hypocritically that they're "opposed to torture".

This is too serious for such political games. If one were to vote for cloture, they need to be labeled as pro-torture.

9. It may pass with 60 votes
I think that this may get 60 'yes' votes on the final vote let alone just for cloture. Looking at what happened with Alito and adding in how close we are getting to the election and how a vote against would be spun - I just won't be surprised. There are now lots of things that don't surprise me anymore.

10. The dems aboslutely have to filibuster this bill.
However, they will definately be painted as "soft on terrorists", and, if it doesn't pass before the recess because of a filibuster, it wouldn't surprise me to see Cheney push the button for the next "terrorist attack" to "show" the public how wrong the dems were for filibustering. Thus winning the republicans the election. Helluva october surprise.

11. LET THEM TRY
The Dems need to welcome any attempt to twist this into a soft on terror spin. They have words, We have PICTURES AND VIDEO of Abu Ghraib. They have Sean Hannity and Limpballs--We have witnesses and victims such as the innocent Canadian the US government deported and tortured in Syria.

We have war REPUBLICAN war HEROES (e.g; Colin Powell) who are anti torture!

Bring this shit on!!!

This is moral issue. A constitutional issue (cruel and unusual punishment). A religious issue (who would Jesus torture).

IT IS A WINNING ISSUE!
