So was the torture stand off just a big charade?
I was watching Craig Crawford on the K.O. show last night, and he basically came out and said that this whole thing was a conspiracy cooked up by the Republicans to

A) Make them look like they're "standing up to Bush", that they're not just rubber stamping him, which of course they are.

B) Makes McCain look like the maverick that he's pretending to be and a strong moral guy who opposes torturing people, because lets face it, if he didn't, it would be awfully hypocritical of him, don't you think?

C) Take the focus off Iraq and talk about terrorists and terrorism for a week or so, and it seems to have worked because supposedly the chimp got a "huge upturn" of about 3 percentage points in the last 2 weeks.

Yep, looks like we've been manipulated by the pukes and their MSM whores again.

1. Totally
Why is anyone the least bit surprised? They have done this over and over again.

2. Think so ...
The Dems sit safely in the background ... evidently thinking these entrenched Repugs are gonna do the dirty work for them ... after all, WE can't appear weak on TERRA ... better to just appear WEAK, I suppose.

LOLLLLLL ... after all folks, this isn't the FIRST time we fell for it and had the rug pulled out at the last minute. Arlen Specter, for one, has it down to a science. Make a little noise to distract the public from the 'rubber stamp' GOP ... then meet behind the scenes to strike a deal that favors BushCo. 'Bait and Switch'

4. Have to think so.
I was of that opinion from the beginning. Color me cynical, but these people have made me that way.
