Raise your hand if you really thought McCain would stand against torture
C'mon. there were alot of you here last week who thought a few Repukes had pangs of conscience and would stop Smirk's transformation into Stalin. Admit it.

6. I knew he wouldn't and said so also. I've had the guy pegged since the
days right after he got nabbed with his buddies helping Charles Keating.

People think that just because he was a POW that means something. I'll tell you what it means. It means he got caught.

He's spent his whole adult life being caught out at whatever he's done. He is not this honorable good guy. He can't/won't even defend his family. That is a true schmuck.

5. I'll raise my hand
It is inconceivable to me that anyone could do anything else. I am just totally amazed at what is happening to this country. I am living in the twilight zone.

7. If he has folded, he is really dead meat for the presidency. No
independents will vote for such a loser and certainly no democrat will. The Pugs have never liked McCain. If he has okayed torture, he can rot in hell.

8. because he was a POW I admit that I hoped his stand was pure not politics
but then I do grasp at straws sometimes.

Man I work with (my project lead) this morning walked in as I handed a magazine to a co-worker - my leader said "What's that? Another liberal rag?"
I laughed and said - "Time magazine? A liberal rag?"

But underneath I cringed. I have brought in two mags which I gave to a fellow liberal - a copy of Progressive and a copy of Mother Jones. One time. No fuss or discussion, we had spoken the previous week and this liberal being a new dad was in a tighter financial situation. I rcv the mags anyhow and like to pass them on to good homes so I said I'ld pass them on to him.

As for my boss - I like the guy - and he has two teenaged sons. But he is utterly clueless. Lives his life, coaches JV football, believes he is safer because * is in the whitehouse. Try to discuss anything and he says "But Clinton had sex with an intern" and I say well, they WERE both consenting adults... No one died... It is kinda up to his WIFE to punish him for that one....

I absolutely do not understand...

13. No surprise. I expected for all of them to bow down.
The Multi-Corps would stop the cash flow if they didn't cave in the Busholini.

14. McCain is a fraud
He's a die-hard conservative in maverick moderate's clothing.

He has been ranked by voteview.com as the 3rd most conservative U.S. Senator.

I hope never again to hear DUers have a good thing to say about him.
