Legalising Torture and Retroactive CYA
Seems we get our hopes up constantly, finally feeling assured
that the people are waking up and our elected representatives
will finally put their collective foot down and draw the line
on the insanity running rampant in this administration.Just as
we feel that giant sigh of relief needed to save our exploding
heads, the rug gets pulled from under us once again and back to
the "Twighliight Zone" we go.It seems so
unbelievable at times that I can't help but wonder if there is
some correlation between the warrantless wiretapping program
and the cave-ins of otherwise decent human beings on both
sides of the political aisle.I just cannot believe that
resident *ush is intellectually capable of convincing people
that he actually holds a moral compass here.Something is
terribly amiss.
