What if Ned wins and...
I've been allowing myself to dream of Ned Lamont's victory in November. I know it's risky, but at least as a volunteer I'm helping to make it so.

What if:

*We have a senator who introduces a bill on universal health care into the the U.S. Senate and energetically works for its passage?

*We have a senator who supports Jack Murtha's phased withdrawal plan from Iraq and speaks out against Bush and his cronies in the press to get public support?

*We have a senator who does all he can to help rape victims get the assistance they need to prevent an unwanted pregnancy?

*We have a senator who has energy ideas completely divorced from Dick Cheney's crowd and more in line with environmentalists?

Sometimes I can't believe I have Ned Lamont to vote for. We are so lucky in Connecticut. Now the race is a dead heat. I am dedicated to make the election of Ned Lamont happen!

5. this race decides everything..
I believe it determines whether or not Republicans control Congress, whether Lieberman runs next time as a Republican, and whether Bush finally gets impeached. But whether or not Lamont wins may decide who controls the Senate, because Lieberman will not back Reid as Majority Leader.

please correct me if I'm wrong. Most of Lamont's votes will come from the first and fourth Congressional districts, most of Lieberman's votes will come out of the third and fifth districts, and most of Schlesinger's votes will come out of the second district.

8. I live in the 2nd CD and we're the bluest CD in CT
John Kerry won the 2nd CD by 32,000 votes. He won the others by 4,000 - 10,000 votes.

Lamont will win the 2nd CD. Lieberman will be his biggest challenger here.

9. Why, thank you Larissa! I 'preciate that!
And thanks for joining my little dream fest. We've all been so worn down by defeat and disappointment that it's difficult to allow yourself to visualize winning. I can't tell you how thrilled I am when I get a strong Lamont supporter on the line when I'm phonebanking!
