Lots of deception
You really have to pay attention to what's being said. I've been channel flipping trying to find out what this 'agreement' is, that's been reached. Here's what I've put together.

Rather than modify or interpret the Geneva Convention Common Article 3 clause, what they've done is to call another 'vehicle' into motion, in order to legalize continued torture. They are using the 'War Powers Act' to hang their flag on. For future threats of war crimes prosecution, they will cite the law as an American Law, and try to claim prosecution isn't possible. Makes me sick, makes me sick!! I am so disgusted right now.

All this fascade has been was a way to make torture legal by hanging another hat on this behavior.

2. I too have been waiting for the details.
I have believed from the beginning that this this...defiance by the usually placid-ass-kissing-neo-cons was orchestrated to deceive the public. There will be no change in Bush's position. The torture will be fully condoned by the American government. The democrats, who should have been shouting from the rooftops, again watched mute from the sidelines and will not lift one finger to protect the American values.

Resume the torture.

3. I totally agree. The thing that scares me is that I believe that
they intend to scare the American people with this, as well. This combined with big $$ to be spent on so called 'border security'.
