This has given Steele an opportunity to
feign outrage:
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Maryland Republican Senate candidate Michael Steele is calling on a group running a radio ad encouraging black Marylanders to vote Republican to take their ad off the air.
The Washington-based National Black Republican Association's radio ad that aired in Baltimore identifies Martin Luther King Jr. as a Republican and blames Democrats for founding the Ku Klux Klan. Democrats are complaining that the ad distorts history.
Steele calls the ad "insulting to Marylanders."
Pretty smart politickin there, get the outrageous message out with an independant and let the candidate decry it as unfair.
Steele is still ashamed to be a republic, no word on what party he belongs to on his literature or ads.
