3. This is an issue Gore now effects greatly - why the hell didn't Clinton
tap Gore to lead on this issue and educate the country and the world back when it would have made the GREATEST difference?

What a horrendous waste of precious time.

5. Excellent point.
Too bad -- no, more like incredibly regrettable -- that WJC didn't utilize Al's talents a lot more than he did in many areas. If he'd done that instead of micro-managing everything hisownself, we could have had a better chance at seeing Gore succeed him in office. IMO.

4. I'm so glad to hear this good news.
Branson is indeed a leader in many areas, and when he follows someone ELSE, that says a lot.

I especially like what it his words and actions might be saying to other "industrialists" or mega-corporate types ... after all, they're the ones who have backed R's for a long time due to purely business interests. If Branson can demonstrate that his business acumen works just fine in this arena as well as the many others he's succeeded in, it MIGHT just sway a few others with the big $$$ to follow suit.

I would if I were them! Even if only in their own self-interest, it would be a smart move.

6. What I got from this headine: Branson, MO pledges $3B...
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 11:08 AM by PaganPreacher
I wondered why the "City halfway between Nashville and Las Vegas" was pledging money to the cause. I thought Jim Stafford, Wayne Newton and Andy Williams had a fundraiser!

Instead, it's this Branson:

Man, he's got some chompers on him!

The Pagan Preacher
I don't turn the other cheek.

8. Gore knows which trees to shake to combat global warming.
I really love seeing action being taken instead of just lip service.
