How I think we should play Ahmadinejad and Chavez
Dems should obviously not attempt to defend Ahmadinejad and Chavez, nor do they need to condemn them. Dems should just say that Ahmadinejad and Chavez have stature far beyond what they should have, and that is because Bush has done so much damage to America's stature. It's a sad statement when these two guys can so easily upstage the president of the United States. It is a clear sign of the humiliating loss of credibility Bush has brought our country.

3. Bush was humiliated, we don't need to rub it in
we can just sit back and laugh.

6. Ah, but Rove is already working on this
to fire up the troops, to "circle the wagon." Rove will frame Bush as the knight in shining armor defending America from foreigners and... many voters, too many will swallow this.

Unfortunately, just sit back and laugh may cost us the elections.

4. I support Chavez, and I hate Bush, as do millions of people in the world
No triangulating is going to change that.

As to Ahmadinejad, we should be talking to Iran not threatening them. Even Big Dog and Jimmy Carter said that we should be talking to Iran. Bush refuses because he sees himself a Gawd's anointed one, answerable to no one.

Democrats should be impeaching Bush if we are to get our Republic back!

5. Chavez's latest stunt cannot help the cause
Although many of the hardcore will cheer him on, most people will see him as a fool.

I think that he is playing into the hands of the reactionaries (both here and in Venezuela).

Too bad that he destroyed an opportunity to make a truly substantive speech against the current Bush administration.

7. Did you even bother to read his speech or watch the video?
