If that miserable Puke Ted Stevens can do it for his bridge to nowhere, can't Russ do it to save the Constitution from King Smirk.

2. In all it's glory:

hold - An informal practice by which a Senator informs his or her floor leader that he or she does not wish a particular bill or other measure to reach the floor for consideration. The Majority Leader need not follow the Senator's wishes, but is on notice that the opposing Senator may filibuster any motion to proceed to consider the measure.

Edit to add: That's a big fat "Yes". If said Senator is willing to filibuster.

3. Thanks. Sounds like the Dems will need 40 votes.

4. Remember Alito - - I side with getting the objections into senate record
whether you have 40 votes or not.

That's the reason I supported Feingold on censure, even though I didn't agree with him that it was an appropriate alternative to impeachment. I knew some of the debate about what Bush did would get into the historic record.

At times, the historic record is all we have to effect.
