The twenty most corrupt members of congress - interesting read
http://www.beyonddelay.org/

It seems that the owner of the site goes after republicans and democrats with 3 democrats making the top 20 and John Murtha in the 'dishonorable mention' (I hope the dems on the list figure out why they are on there and do something about it)

Here are the 20 most Corrupt members. If you go to the website you can get some great details as to why they are so corrupt!

3. Jefferson is lovingly known as Dollar Bill in New Orleans
His chances of being reelected are between zero and none, however he no doubt will be replaced by another dem.

4. Yeah, same with Maxine Waters -- but I didn't know she was corrupt
I love that woman, but even if Rethugs make an issue of her "ethics," there's no chance in hell she won't be replaced by a Dem.

7. Cronyism

Seems like everyone in her family is benefitting. It's bad but hardly worth top 20. I would have put Don Sherwood up there because not only does he have lobbyist issues, but he beat his MISTRESS (not wife, which he has) too

6. I think that may sink Murtha's bid to become Majority leader
I appreciate his outspokenness on behalf of veterans and soldiers, but it would behoove us to have a Congressional leadership that is absolutely spotless. We are largely going to win back Congress this year by running against the corruption of Delay and company, so we absolutely must not allow anyone with any lobbyist payola to attain a position of leadership. It will just open the party up for charges of hypocrisy and God knows the Repukes and media would exploit that for all it's worth.

Restore integrity and honesty to Washington - that's our platform and we have to live up to it.

9. Only three Senators?
Granted they're the top three, but I expected more from that chamber.
