Pile it on
Who ought to be charged with crimes?

Here's my list. Add to it .... freely.

Bush - war crimes, crimes against humanity, violation of the Constitution, derelection of duty

Cheney - all of the above

Rumsfeld - all of the above

Rice - all of the above

Gonzolez - subverting the Constitution

Tommy Franks - derecletion of duty, two counts (failure to disobey illegal orders, failure to complete the mission in Tora Bora)

Powell - war crimes, crimes against humanity

Surely there are more. These are the ones that come up with very little deep thinking. Who else would be on your list?

1. Well, not that I have ever been accused of being a deep thinker but
if you are going to blame Powell for war crimes - there are probably some black ops types that are guilty of acts of torture.

Don't forget corporate CEO's who authorized or at least approved illegal wiretaps and surveillance.

I would also add Chertof for completely bungling hurricane relief in NOLA and Mississippi.

3. Lee Greenwood and Irving Berlin
For the goddamned "God Bless the USA ("Proud to be an American)" and "God Bless America."

Why don't the Geneva Conventions protect us from this shit?

5. Now that you mention it - can we retroactively go after Beethoven
for composing those pre-nationalist germinating marches and symphonies?

9. Not Ludwig Van!
IMHO, "God Bless America" was god-awful...even before they started cramming it down our throats at ballgames and such.

10. Yes Ludwig Van! He germinated the Nazi's with his stirring foot
pounding marches!

Similar to the forced nationlism that you mention.

4. Let's not leave Wolfowitz and Perle and the rest of the Neocons
off your list. I think we should hold them all in Gitmo while we investigate 9/11 again... and waterboard them till
they tell us the truth. And when we get confessions from them, we can hold a mock tribunal and sentence them all to
die by firing squad. After we wiretap them to get all of the conspirators (everyone they talk to will be guilty of
something, I'm sure).

And let's not leave Ashcroft or Ridge off the list, or the stupidest person in the Pentagon... Dan Senior. And you
can add Maj Gen Geoffrey Miller also.

6. Makers and sellers of Diebold machines ...
... and other electronic voting machines designed to be easily manipulated.

If deliberately thwarting the will of your fellow citizens in an election isn't TREASON, I don't know what is.

7. Negroponte
Let's not forget his role in the Iraq death squad situation (well, to be honest, there is no direct proof, but an investigation needs to be underway b/c of parallels with Nicaragua).

Also, to Gonzales, I would like to add condoning torture.

Rush Limbaugh - promoting hate in a war zone.

Tom Delay - Still not convicted or even investigated for his role in sex slavery in the Pacific.

Wolfowitz - Same reasons as Pearle and Feith

Paul Bremer - Stealing billions from the IRaqi people as well as American citizens.
