why Allen was so angry about his Jewish roots being recognized. Allen has pretended to be a good ole boy Virginian: "Welcome to the real America, macaca."

Most Virginians are just now learning that Allen was raised in California and that his mother was French-Italian. And I have just learned that she was Jewish. Nothing is wrong with California, the French or the Italians, or a Jewish background (Kerry and Clark have Jewish ancestry and Kerry's wife is foreign born). But Allen has not been honest about his roots. A lot of Repubs complained about Kerry's wife not being "American." I think that's why Allen got so angry with the reporter who brought his background out into the open.
