Is Bill O'Reilly soft peddling torture?

You be the judge but his faux hysteria seems to support what all the Foxies want to do: bring great discredit to this nation via gross human rights abuses.

1. I see nothing soft about it
These neo-con pigs want to torture people because it makes their miniscule dicks appear and feel larger.

Worry not the cost, the fact it doesn't work, or the fact it rots your soul. They care not.

Hey wingnuts, I am very sure Jesus would approve of torturing your enemy, right?

2. Yes And My Question Is This....
If we go that route, don't we have to be as barbaric as how they perceive the "enemy" as being or we'll "lose?"

So is that the "strategy," turn USA into a brutal dictatorship so we can fight brutal dictatorships? Turn us into terrorists so we can better fight the terrorists?

These people are INSANE.

3. I was actually falling for it
As a monitor of Fox News, it is hard even for a critic like myself to keep from being absorbed by their extreme right-wing spin. One right-wing host or guest after another keeps soft peddling coercive interrogations. It's just some sleep deprivation or making someone stand up for a while. So, it is a little uncomfortable.

Then I had a mental image of those old World War II movies. American POWs in a Japanese interment camp are made to line up outside in the hot tropical sun. Not allowed to eat or drink they one by one collapse from exhaustion. That abuse pisses me off and it is a Hollywood PG rated version of the reality.

We're talking making prisoners stand for over 40 hours straight in awkward positions shackled while naked in a cold room. Guards hose them down with water. Give them only enough water to keep them alive.

And, as I've posted before, we have something like 14,000 detainees around the globe. According to the Red Cross, in 2003, 70-90% of our detainees in Iraq were mistakes.

I posted on my web site about it and on other blogs. But do American's really care? It's them who are being mistreated. As long as we get our Starbucks in the morning we apparently could give a rip.
