If there are any doubts about how sleezy Santorum is
This should lay them to rest. Santorum's new attack ad against Bob Casey.

Santorum hurls the low hard one

snip

The ad attempts to create the impression that the Senate campaign of state Treasurer Bob Casey Jr. is funded by contributions from criminals.

Never mind that Mr. Santorum was a cheerleader, at least, for the K Street Project, which helped to create a corrupt lobbying system that was exploited by certified felon Jack Abramoff.

All but one of the contributions targeted by the ad were made to Casey campaigns when he was running for other offices, at which time none of the contributors were known to be under investigation for anything. Since then, only one of the people referenced by the campaign ad has been convicted of a crime. And one of the referenced contributors is dead.

So misleading is this ad that two of the people referenced, who made contributions to previous Casey campaigns, have not contributed to the Casey Senate campaign but have contributed to Mr. Santorum.

3. Can you believe it?
The ad shows actors portraying Casey contributors playing poker and smoking cigars in a jail cell.

"So misleading is this ad that two of the people referenced, who made contributions to previous Casey campaigns, have not contributed to the Casey Senate campaign but have contributed to Mr. Santorum."

I can't wait to make calls for Casey tomorrow night and see what the reaction is to this bullshit ad.

4. That's not worse than when he said that Al Qaeda donated to Casey.
Only Al Qaeda was actually a real guy who just happened to have an phonetically unfortunate name.
