Russert Let George Allen get away with "macaca" excuse...

When Russert asked Allen what he meant when he called Webb's campaign worker "Macaca," which Russert said "some define as a racial slur against dark-skinned people," Allen said he didn't know WHAT the word meant and he thought he made it up. Why didn't Russert point out that it's a French Tunisian slur and Allen's mother just HAPPENS to be French Tunisian???
