Sen Clinton blasts Bush assissination film
Sen. Hillary Clinton blasts Bush assassination film

CHAPPAQUA — Sen. Hillary Clinton this morning blasted the producers of a new film depicting the assassination of Pres. George W. Bush.

"I think it's despicable," Clinton said of "Death of a President," a fictional film that features a staged assassination of the president in 2007. "I think it's absolutely outrageous. That anyone would even attempt to profit on such a horrible scenario makes me sick."

Clinton made the comments in her adopted hometown of Chappaqua at the annual New Castle Community Day.

The outdoor gathering of residents, vendors and community groups aims to boost volunteerism and inform people of good works taking place in the community.

6. To call it a "horrible scenario" seems like a bit of a stretch.

9. Oh, no! Then he'd become "Bush the Martyr"
and his hideous, leering, chimpazoid face would replace Thomas Jefferson on Mount Rushmore and INCREDIBLE numbers of things would be named for him. I want him to live to be very, very old and finally understand that he's the most detested man in history.

10. Hell no!
I don't think we want to see a lionized martyred RW saint in Bush. He'd become a Kennedy like figure - granted not nearly revered on the national level, but it doesn't help anyone in anyway. It would likely create sympathy for republicans.

Plus, Bush should face trial and justice. If we believe we live by the rule of law (unlike Bush), then Bush should also be judged in a civilized fashion.

8. Meanwhile she refuses to condemn mass murder on Iraqis
and in fact, appears to be supporting it.

Forgive me if I tell you that I wouldn't give Hillary Clinton the sweat off my balls.

11. Personally
I think too much is made of this film. I don't understand the fuss, considering it's not even being distributed here in the US. I am kind of curious to see what the hype is about and may try to find it on torrents. The premise has some merit, considering the last several years' actions could end with such consequences.

I understand Hillary's condemnation of the film though, not only as a politician and in general. Especially, as a former first lady, it would be disturbing to see an enactment of the spouse being assasinated.

13. Does the film ADVOCATE Bush's assassination in any way?
If it's just a FICTIONAL story about a FICTIONAL event, I really don't see what the big deal is. Seriously. If somebody wanted to make a fictional film about what would happen if I were killed (assuming I were a public figure), I don't think I would care much.
