Bush's new tactic: To "out-anger" the Democrats and Americans
His press conference today is filled with forceful elocution of his policies, whether they be wrong or right. He's going on the offensive - trying to push back and shame feelings of anger - directed at him - held by American citizens.

He's reprimanding us like a parent would a child: "Now look here, young man/woman, let me explain to you how this is going to work!"

I actually think this will be effective, temporarily at least. That is, until the next major story puts him back on the defensive. The only reason why this is effective is because no one but the Republicans are in power at the moment. Make whatever aspersions you want about the press and the Democrats, but frankly a party with no power currently will not get as much press coverage as this condescending neanderthal.

Let's see what happens with the GOP political tactic du jour. :eyes:

1. I didn't take that kind of nonsense from my parents, my teachers,
my principals, the chair of the department in which I was majoring, and none of my employers. I'm certainly not going to start with this twerp.

3. Isn't it a shame that Bush has nothing to offer other than tactics and
snappy ad slogans? There is no plan of action, there is nothing. Just fancy backdrops, slogans, cheap tactics. What's missing is substance. There is no substance, never has been and never will be.

Bush is a complete waste of time.

7. ‘Time is running out,’ was one of his lines today
In many ways time is running out for this monster and his radical rule.

IF the Democrats regain control of Congress, his days of radical rule are numbered, he will either be powerless for the next two years or will be impeached. Either way he will be null an void.

If the republicans are successful and steal another election in November, the world may come after him and try him on war crimes.

Yes mr. bu$h, ‘Time is running out,’

9. So I don't see why we don't characterize him, derisively, as "angry."
The republi-CONS are certainly doing it to Dems. "Oh me oh my, the Democrats are SO ANGRY, tsk-tsk-tsk." They're framing it as a negative thing. Well, nobody's got his dander up and his panties in a bunch as bad as bush does, so let's just label hIM that way, too. What's good for the goose, etc. Taste of their own medicine. See how they like it.

11. And his base who are "authority driven" will respond like the
children to their father figure.

"He's reprimanding us like a parent would a child"

Good point. I hadn't thought of that.
