Has anyone noticed the Republican ads look and sound
like public service announcements if they are positive?

I'm not sure, but I think I just heard one on tv this morning by George Felix Allen that he ends with, "...that is why I sponsored the ____ bill." I think he was talking about the bill he just stole. I was too busy telling him what I thought of him to hear exactly what he said.

If it said what I think it said, I think it deserves comment in LTTE. Please write one. I will do one for my little weekly publication.

1. Actually, they almost sound like the "Kamp Krusty Welcome!" video
you know, where the voice changes to someone totally different when they say the name of the camp counselor ...

Announcer1: "It's scary when you realize that "

Announcer2: "Nancy Pelosi"

Announcer1: "is even further to the left than Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy rolled into one ..."

2. That is an attack ad, those are different.
I first noticed it when Maryland's LT Gov was running in the primary. I thought it was a novel and fresh self promotion ad. It reminded me of the public service announcements by the National Ad Council.

But then, this morning, Geo Allen was talking about every child's future or something and then said, "that's why I sponsored the ____ Bill in the Senate."

I haven't seen any Steele negative ads, but Allen had one on tonight. In essence he is calling Webb a liar. Webb needs to speak up and say Allen is lying when he calls Webb a liar and cite the proof of truth.

Dems don't need attack ads -- the truth ads are an attack enough.

3. "Evil Democrats want to KILL you..."
"...but new and improved Republican X 2006 will make you safe as a baby at her mother's shameful female upper body parts."

I hate these people.
