Tweety on Hardball: "He's gonna be back at 50% in the polls again!!!"
Today's "Hardball" repeat is showing right now on MSNBC.

Tweety was talking about all of the success Bush has had recently (!) and said "If he keeps doing what he's been doing for the next 8 weeks, he'll be back at 50% in the polls again, and then he won;t have to worry about losing the House!"

Tweety, Tweety, Tweety...

:silly:

2. Tweets likes the "NEW" message Junior's been putting out...
...you know, the Global War on Terra, and how Iraq is the central front in that war, and how we're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here...

Tweety likes that message. A lot.

:silly:

Yes, that makes a difference, believe it or not.

8. Believe it? It's axiomatic.
Which is why gas prices magically drop before an election.

Unfortunately, too many people never get the connection, or understand how, with BushCo, those prices will soar AFTER the election.

10. Isn't it amazing?
The American sheeple completely forget about the last twelve months of gouging by the oil "man" in the White House and his buddies. Gas is down, vote Republican! And as soon as the election is over gas will rise to record levels and they'll say, "Hey, I trusted you guys and now you shoved it up my ass, again"! "I'll never vote Republican again"! Until the next time they herd the sheeple to the polls with tax cuts and lower gas prices. Then, all will be forgotten, the Republicans will be their best friends again. And the cycle will continue, like the movie, "Groundhog's Day". Over and over again.
We have a very stupid populace.

9. Not that it would shock me. Around 911 it would, I think.
Brings out the flags and he has been talking up war. To defeat this enemy with out a killing battle is hardly any thing these war like people want. I am sure they would have been happy if we and Russia had used all those bombs on each other. It is 'war lover' time and Bush loves it.

11. He is Almost There Already
Rasmussen has him at 47%(highest of the year) and attributes this to greater Republican support.

Hard to believe greater Republican support is due to lower gas prices.

12. If gas goes under $2, he'll be there
I think his popularity is almost exclusively tied to the price of gas. That's how stupid and selfish everyone is. Look for buyer's remorse in December when "heating oil concerns" magically push gas back over $2.50 and Memorial Day driving pushes it over $3. Only in America could anyone screw up this badly and get voted back into power.

20. Yep ...
Dude, this was SO predictable ... They held gas prices well in the painful range for most of the last year plus, and are dropping them going into this fall's elections ...

13. The polls must go up for our resident bush
To explain why the democrats fail to take over the house and Senate.
We no longer know what is real news and what is manufactured for our benefit. So why not the polls?

17. Not so much Tweety ditto heads as "Tweety Vacillators"
...the folks who regularly post "(fill in Air America host here) is ON FIRE today!" It's usually an empty thread, or maybe it says "(fill in Air America host here) is REALLY going after a freeper. Right now!" And that's it.

On the days that Tweets is pro-Dem, those folks are raising the flag and saluting. On the days where he's Karl Rove's own little Pinocchio, the "ON FIRE!" crowd is burning him at the stake.

For me, he's high entertainment value, a clown. Same as O'Reilly...I post his stuff on DU all the time, but only for comedy relief or to illustrate how quickly he picks up the latest GOP-approved talking points.

But I hear ya...why indeed?

:patriot:

22. Tweety unaware that polling has changed?
Edited on Fri Sep-15-06 10:35 AM by gratuitous
As we close in on the election, a couple of polls have gone from questioning all voters to questioning only "likely" voters or "registered" voters, which is going to bump Stupidhead's numbers a bit. (See The Daily Kos for the lowdown on this.) The bump, however, is still within the margin of error and is statistically insignificant except to administration cheerleaders whose fat paychecks depend on the good favor of a notoriously pissy White House.
