Google 'eager' to work with Republicans? How effing SPECIAL.
Google is "eager" to work with the Republican Party and has boosted its presence in Washington, D.C., according to Roll Call.

"Google, one of the fastest-growing companies in Silicon Valley, is ramping up its political clout in Washington, D.C., while taking a series of steps to court Republicans," report Tory Newmyer and Paul Kane for Roll Call. "The company is filing paperwork today to open its first-ever political action committee, and later this month, it will make an endangered GOP incumbent the beneficiary of its first-ever Washington fundraiser."

"The search-engine giant this month also deepened its ties to Republicans by inking a deal with former GOP Sens. Dan Coats (Ind.) and Connie Mack (Fla.) to lobby on its behalf," the article continues.

3. Yeah, I know, "follow the money"...
...and Karl Rove is 2 for 2, regardless of how he got there. Still sucks, though.

4. Weird timing, though. The winds of change are blowing.
Many indicators point to Republicans being run out of power come November. Fine time to jump onto their sinking ship.

6. Some of these corporations do follow the political winds.
Others double-dip, while others dig in their heels.

We'll see what Google does.

8. Use Vivisimo
http://vivisimo.com/ for all of your searches. It's better than Google, because it clusters the results. I do a lot of research for grad school, and I swear by it. They're a start-up company out of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

9. I'm not quite ready to believe that yet.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I've always liked Google, and so far this new story seems to have only one source on the web.

Consider this article from May 6, 2005:

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=44125

Google money engine
for Democrats only
Execs, employees gave $463,500
to party, $5,000 to Republicans

"WASHINGTON -- With the Internet's No. 1 search engine under fire for playing political favorites with content, a search of Google's political contributions as recorded by the Federal Elections Commission shows a staggering $463,500 went to Democrats in the last three election cycles with a paltry $5,000 going to Republicans."

14. I'm not demonizing them...
...I'm reacting to the word "eager."

They're also working with Ben Ginsberg (look in the dictionary for "scumbag" and you'll see his picture).

I don't know anything about the credibility of Roll Call...I got this from Raw Story.

If they really are "eager," fuck 'em. Fuck 'em a lot. But remember: telling them to get fucked ain't necessarily the same as demonizing them. I tell people who aren't demons to get fucked all the time. Almost daily, as a matter of fact.

If they're not "eager," my bad. Very, very, very bad. BAD Human Torch! BAD!

Actually, Raw Story bad. Roll Call bad. Bread good, wine good, fire bad. Just use the Frankenstein scale and relax. No one's being "demonized."

Nothing to see here, folks...move on. No demons.
