Joe Scarborough switches affiliation to Democrat! just kiddding... BUT..
... he has written a scathing piece on the GOP (while taking a few swipes at the Democrats)

When The Washington Monthly reached me at my office recently, a voice on the other side of the line meekly asked if I would ever consider writing an article supporting the radical proposition that Republicans should get their brains beaten in this fall.

“Count me in!” was my chipper response. I also seem to remember muttering something about preferring an assortment of Bourbon Street hookers running the Southern Baptist Convention to having this lot of Republicans controlling America’s checkbook for the next two years.

Maybe that’s because right-wing, knuckle-dragging Republicans like myself took over Congress in 1994 promising to balance the budget and limit Washington’s power. We were a nasty breed and had no problem blaming Bill and Hillary Clinton for everything from the exploding federal deficit to male pattern baldness. I suspected then, as I do now, that Hillary Clinton herself had something to do with “Love, American Style” and “Joanie Loves Chachi.” And why not blame her? Back then, Newt Gingrich felt comfortable blaming the drowning of two little children on Democratic values. Hell. It was 1994. It just seemed like the thing to do.

The terminally rumpled Dick Armey (R-Whiskey Gulch) even went so far as to suggest that the Clintons might be Marxists, drawing an angry personal rebuke from Bubba himself. But 12 years later, it is Armey’s fellow Republicans who should be sobered by the short and ugly history of Republican Supremacy.

1. Makes me wonder if he and Keith O. are having a lot of
lunchtime conversations (or, heck, maybe after-dinner-drink conversations).

3. No, I Think One Of Joe's Writers Got Sick
and Keith lent him a replacement intern - that sort of literate, thoughtful prose has no place on Joe's Follies, so the sooner he returns Keith's intern, the better (and healthier for the intern.)

7. EXCEPT for the passage about the "awesome impeachment trial."
I'd STILL say FUCK YOU, scarborough.

The ONLY thing you and I will EVER agree on here, is that we both think it'd be a VERY good thing if the republi-CONS got their clocks cleaned in November. A little mortification is good for the soul, and they are STAGGERINGLY overdue.

But notice one thing: It's strictly about money here. Stingey crap about the only thing his party's doing wrong is spending too much. NEVER MIND what most of that money (aside from overfeeding Halliburton and being squandered in Iraq) goes toward. NEVER MIND how it keeps our meat inspected and our airline companies' collective feet to the fire about maintenance regulations and child abuse/welfare case workers on the job and, presumably, our troops fed while over there in the Mess-o-Potamia. I think the garbage collectors ought to go on strike in republi-CON districts across America (ESPECIALLY in and around grover norquist's neighborhood). Let them see how government spending is actually in their bests interests. 'Cause even ol' grover expects his trash to be picked up on schedule, so it doesn't offend his delicate sensibilities or blight the view of (or from) his front yard.

2. Whoa.....just wish he could keep
his lines straight all the time, he weaves back and forth like a drunken sailor (with a Bourbon Street Hooker) -this was real telling though, coming from him:

This must all be shocking to my Republican friends who still believe our country would be a better place if our party controlled every branch of government as well as every news network, movie studio, and mid-American pulpit. But evidence suggests that divided government may be what Washington needs the most.

Trying to tell us something Joe?

4. the GOP is fracturing
And that's why they accuse Dems of not being united. The moderates are jumping off the ship because they see it sinking. If * had approval ratings in the 60s he'd probably keep his mouth shut.
