Election Protection Strike Force For The Mid-Term Elections: VR

VelvetRevolution has launched an election protection strike force campaign for the mid-term elections this November. This campaign consists of three major components – attorneys, media and activists.

1. Attorneys-VR will assemble a dream team of the best, brightest and most fearless attorneys and investigators specializing in election law to be ready in key states and key races to immediately and forcefully challenge specific subversions of the voting process through illegal means.

2. Media-VR will brief the media prior to the election to be on the lookout for a laundry list of possible manipulations of the vote. Concerned reporters who are interested in this issue will be identified and on call prior to, during and after the election. The blogs and independent news outlets including radio and TV will be included in this campaign. VR will retain a PR firm to mobilize the mainstream media and VR will be mobilizing the online media.

3. Activists-VR will put millions of activists on various org lists and blogs on notice to be on the lookout for vote problems and to be ready at a moments notice to send hundreds of thousands of emails, letters, and phone calls to those in a position to stop the problems. The activists will also be primed to engage in protests, marches, meetings and rallies to stop the problems.
