Send your Questions to Meet The Press/Webb-Allen Debate
From (VA-Sen) Webb Supporters email list re: Webb-Allen Debate on Sept 17

Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2006 22:12:31 -0000
Subject: Send Your Questions to Meet the Press

I'm sure you all know that Jim Webb and George Allen will be on Meet
the Press this coming Sunday. Here's a suggestion: Send an email to MTP
and suggest questions (and follow-up questions) that Tim Russert should
ask during the program. Use the Web form here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6872152/

In your message, include Internet links for information supporting your
question, to make their preparatory "homework" easier for the MTP
staff.

Keep in mind that Russert loves to catch program guests in
contradictions in comments they have made at different times. Felix is
certainly rich source for that.

Thank you DUers :hi:

1. What vote was it George Allen made when he voted on
the proper bulletproof vests to withstand being killed in Iraq?

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=108&session=1&vote=00116

I paused the ad, noted it down, then looked it up. THey keep roll call votes going back to 1990

3. Thanks Greeby....
Great info. Also, Olbermann just ran the ad in full, so am sure it's on Russert's Q-list already :hi:

4. I really, really, really want to see Jim Webb
casually, throw his head back and say to Allen,

"Well, I do have a question about the brain-injury bill you introduced - the Allen-Durbin Bill - you did write that bill, right Senator Allen?"

I can't wait to hear the answer. Either way, Allen is 100% totally fried and exposed as a liar and/or plagiarist.

heard Allen was bored being the VA senator. As a Virginian, I would like to ask him why the Commonwealth should re-elect someone who is so http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2006/03/george_allen_bored.html">bored with us.

on edit: added link and removed editorialization

9. just did. I reposted it under your post so that you would be sure to
see it. I think you have some affiliation with the Webb campaign and I wanted to be sure you had the link.

I got email about phone banking today. I have plans to do that when I can drive again. I've had leg surgery and should be able to drive again in a few weeks. I'd love to do all I can in the VA Beach area to help Webb. I want to go by the Hampton Roads headquarters and do whatever just as soon as I can get up on crutches.

thanks.

10. Whew, thanks....
Good luck on your recovery  I do have affiliation with the Webb campaign, but only in a cheerleader sort of way, and I'm a Virginian. :bounce: and a selfish :kick: too.

Seriously, these Q's to Tim make a difference. The more we input, the better for we controlling MSm, EH?

Will there be a DU live blog on the EST MTP Sunday? I'm telling my Virginia peeps in SE and SW Virginia to tune into DU-GD around 8:55 a.m on Sunday morning. Is that okay?

edit: I mistakenly put "tomorrow" in the first post, but it's on SUNDAY -- not tomorrow. I'll go fix my thread title now. ;)
