Okay, can someone help me here? (ABC News again)
Listening to the radio and ABC News, and after a couple other stories, the announcer proclaims,

"AND...new polling indicates that the Republicans have regained their edge over Democrats in terms of who the American public trusts to handle terrorism."

That's IT. No identification of the poll. No explanation of the exact question. Just a statement of TRUTH, that the American people now trust Republicans more.

Does anyone know what the hell poll they are referring to? This is what passes for a news story now.

2. Sounds like they're doing a Fox News poll ploy ...
During the 2004 election, if bush was ahead of Kerry by 3 points, they would say bush was ahead, even though the poll had a margin of +/- 3 points.

If Kerry was ahead of bush by 3 points, it would be a "statistical tie" because the poll had a margin of +/- 3 points.

They're probably tied; fuck ABC news.

10. Apparently they threatened DU.
I think I had a Lisa Simpson icon. Then one day it showed up like this. I left it because it speaks volumes.

5. It's now clear that the gloves are off, over at ABC.
They have initiated an all out assault on truth and integrity, and they will keep it up at least until November. The only question is who is paying them for this.

We need to pay attention here. The GOP knows that Americans still get most of their news from the broadcast networks. And, with that understanding, it looks like they've pretty thoroughly infiltrated ABC

6. Taking a look at GMA News . . .
It was all about ramping up fear, "How will Bush keep Congress his?", Tony Snow interview, etc . . . they really ARE trying to be Bush's new little H's.

13. Gee, you'd think a major news organization
would at least get the "who" in "who/what/when/where/why."

My old journalism teacher is rolling over in her grave.

14. Okay, an update. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
I went to ABC's own website and found an article about the Aug 7 ABC/Washington Post polling. I don't immediately see anything more recent on their site. The article states,

"At the same time, the Democrats have an eight-point edge in trust to handle the broader U.S. campaign against terrorism, an issue of central importance to Bush and his party, and one on which public preferences have been unsteady this year...
