What a field-day Rush, O'Reilly and company would have had if John Kerry announced his plan for finding Bin Laden was to sit by the telephone like a lonely teenager:

Bush rejected sending more troops to the Afghanistan-Pakistan border areas to find Osama bin Laden. "One hundred thousand troops there in Pakistan is not the answer. It's someone saying 'Guess what' and then the kinetic action begins," he said, meaning an informer disclosing bin Laden's location.

That said, I think there's a good possibility of a Bin Laden capture/kill October Surprise. Why else is Bush suddenly remembering who he is?

Faux News would have a ticker in the corner of the screen counting the seconds from 9/11 showing how long bin-laden has not been caught.

7. If it means helping Bush, Bin Laden might even turn himself in.

OBL has to be worried that Dems might take over Congress and start combatting terrorism effectively. He will almost certainly put out a couple of campaign videos to help the GOP. I doubt OBL would turn himself in just to help Bush and keep Bushian security incompetence the norm in America, but who knows?

Bush reportedly increased efforts to find bin Laden in the last three months. If true, it is damning because it would be apparent that Bush ignored OBL (endangering Americans) until an election season.
