1. His stars are incredibly tarnished
compared to Generals Clark and Zinni. What a pathetic way to end a military career.

2. Well, To Be Fair:
Would YOU lend the CIA between 500 & 800 of your best soldiers? (CIA ground team requested 500-800 Army Rangers to seal Pakistani border during Battle of Tora Bora.) I mean, you know how those spies tend to lose stuff (like about 1,000 Stinger missiles from the Soviet-Afghan War.)

4. "You know, George W. Bush is the real thing. I have seen this President
Edited on Tue Sep-12-06 02:43 PM by kurth
close in his eyes. I have seen this President, this Commander-in-Chief, when the nights were long and the mornings were early and the decisions to be made were hard. And you know what I saw? I saw character, I saw courage and I saw consistency. I saw the character that is necessary. I saw the character in his eyes."
