Are republicans in their last throes?
rove with 45 million bucks in the checkbook to buy ads filled with hate and disinformation (what else would he use the money for?) about democrats. tony snow lying more intensely at the white house trying to convince the world that bush is not a politician. Less then 2 months before the next election and the only thing bush is concerned about is the American people knowing the truth about him. And the only way that will happen is giving subpoena power to John Conyers.

It must really suck being afraid of the truth. Ergo, it must really suck being a "republican."

1. They are truly desperate - are going to outrageous lengths.
I must say I think it will all backfire. They've lost the trust and won't get it back by being vicious. KO was right - they had every opportunity right after 9/11 to make a difference, to promote unity and they squandered it. No one took it from them, they did it to themselves. They will continue to dig the deep hole they're in with the aid of 45 million. It should be fun to watch. ;-)

2. Things would be going so swell for the GOP if we'd just let them do what
they want to do. No biggie. Just another Roman Holiday right here in the good ole U. S. of A.

No accountability. No restrictions of obeying the law. No respect. No explanations. No questions to answer.

Things would be just great for them! So what's the problem?

:sarcasm:

3. I think that they are....
they were sooo desperate to get Path to 9/11 on the air and all of the talking points over the last weekend are nothing but more of the same. They have nothing new to put out there for the American people other than the same old same old. They are scared and it's showing.

8. DING DING DING! Waiting for hope, you're our grand prize winner!
I think that they are...they were sooo desperate to get Path to 9/11 on the air...

Operation PT9/ll backfired above and beyond the call of duty--so much so that the "I" word was used on national television the very next day. They'll have to trot out Osama's corpse to have any chance of recovery--as long as it doesn't have freezer burn!

4. Republicans will never go away
so long as they have 45 million dollars to throw away.

A little redistribution of wealth is what we need!

6. I cannot imagine that they are limited to 45 mil. The coffers
of their owners are stuffed with trillions. Surely they could come up with an odd billion or two if necessary to stay in power. But they don't need that kind of brute force. They have M$M & Diebold.

5. If you think that they are going quietly or peacefully you are wrong.
They will take as many down with them as they can. They don't care who, what where or when. I am convinced that they would destroy as much of the house and the senate rather than see a rational transition of power.

7. I hope so. We have to do all we can to make sure that they
are out of power come November. If we don't get them out now, it will never happen. And they know it.
