Republicans for Strickland
Unlike their Republican friends, who seem intent on following Ken Blackwell's campaign into oblivion, there appears to be a new group of conservatives with a conscience. From Ted Strickland's campaign:
Gubernatorial candidate Congressman Ted Strickland announced the launch of Republicans for Strickland Tuesday, welcoming support from Republicans across Ohio who came to the Statehouse with one message: It's time for a change in Columbus.

"I'm honored to have support from Republicans who are ready for real change," Strickland said. "Ohio's challenges are too great for us to be divided by partisan politics. I will be a governor who'll work to pull us all together to work in common purpose for the common good."

More than 130 Republicans from across Ohio have signed on to lead the grassroots effort in their communities, spreading Strickland's message of bringing people together.

"We're on the wrong track and it's time for new leadership," said Betty Davis, former Republican mayor of Mason.

Strickland has reached out to independents and Republicans throughout his campaign, emphasizing a common-sense approach that values pragmatism over partisanship.

"Ted Strickland is the leader Ohio needs right now," said Charles "Rocky" Saxbe, a former Republican State Representative and Columbus lawyer. "He's a decent and honest man, and someone who can restore Ohioans' faith in their government."

2. And Republicans for Granholm, too.
Don't forget Kansas where Gov Sebelius has been convincing moderate Republicans that they are really Democrats.

This is becoming a trend... and it all is happening under the radar.
:woohoo:

Why, she'd nothing but a gol-darner Hollywood Liberal. And a dead one, to boot!!!

In all seriousness -- I lived in Ohio for twenty years until last spring -- you'd have to be a serious idiot to think that after a generation of running Ohio into the ground, the same old Republican policies are going to make things better.

6. I know of at least one Repub who will vote for Strickland and
possibly 2 more.

I think the Repubs have screwed up with nominating Blackwell or Blackwell has screwed up with stealing the primary. There are just too many red-neck repubs and old-fashioned repubs in Ohio who will never vote for a black candidate. I know that's not a politically correct thing to say but it's not my sentiment. I just know many people like that here in Ohio. They may say they're not prejudiced but deep down, when they're marking that ballot in private, I don't think they will vote for a black person. Again, don't attack me!
