sorry sir the mistake is yours.

this is my answer to the presidents speech on "iraq".
after carefull consideration to your speech i feel it is my duty as a citizen to respond.
the big mistake was yours sir, rushing into a ground war in iraq. to smash saddam's small
country was no great military endeavor for our countries armed forces. we all knew it would be a "piece of cake". but we also knew it would be a long drawn out affair in which we could not afford. (either politicaly or financialy)
you chose to ignore your senior generals and advisor and go on your ego trip. you continue
to stay a course which seems to have no end and is costly. you have spent our tax money like a drunken sailor and borrowed us into poverty.
I feel as an american citizen it is my duty to vote for a change of policy!
I feel it is my duty to stop your on going mistakes, your inability to stop making mistakes
etc.
I feel it is my duty to vote a straight democratic ticket in november, something i have never done.

1. this feeling of yours.....
is catching on.

Dear sir,
I think you should be ashamed of how at the precise moment of unprecedented unity of our country, You chose to focus on re-election and crassly used the tragedies of 9/11 as political cover to pick up a tired old agenda in Iraq simply because it was easier, than finding/defeating the ones WHO ACTUALLY ATTACKED US.I must admit you played politics well, but the sad part is although YOU won, our nation lost and will be stuck holding the bag in Iraq for decades. Osama Bin Laden is still out there, but you will be gone soon. The people of this country know a bullshitter when they see one.The voters of this country are tired of being manipulated and the reckoning will be swift and sure.

warm regards,
cleveramerican

2. Dear Mr. President; Criticism is my duty
It is not only my right to criticize the actions taken by my government, it is my duty to do so. It is the right of every American citizen to question every action made by the government to insure the government for the people is indeed for the people. This thing we call Democracy says that I have the right to speak openly against you and your group of criminals that you call an administration.
Shame on you for politicizing an event which is one of the darkest days in American history. You have made every attempt to use 9/11 for political gain for your administration and your party. The time has come for American to make some changes and in November, we need to correct a great wrong. We need to change the rule in this country, return to a more civilized way of thinking where people do matter more than the corporations and the ends do not justify the means.
Mr. President, your time is almost up, please leave the democracy a thread to survive on.

With a heavy heart

liberal N proud

4. AND THE PR GOES ON

I only hope this political junket to justify an extended stay in "Iraq" AND distract the public from the truth alienates more than it snookers.
It certainly has pissed me off!
