1. Nothing at this point.
BinLaden has let the proverbial genie out of the bottle. He has demonstrated that the AlQaeda way - small, autonomous cells operating independently and fueled by a common fundamentalist fervor, are devistatingly effective against the largest superpowers. If he were to be liquidated today, five more would spring up in his place.

2. Depends. Does Bin Laden get to tell his story?
That is, will he be able to speak and have anything be heard by the public? Surely that doesn't infer that he might tell some stories that would embarrass the Bush... Other than that, however, and perhaps a little public kudos/fanfare, nothing substantive would change. The Bush Administration might have to dig a little to find another head for the big, bad boogy man with which to scare the American public, but there's plenty of Arab/Muslim sounding names attached to scary looking, tall, dark and bearded types to choose from.

3. There are thousands of number twos
Seriously, nothing would change, except for the feather it would put in bush's hat. The Anti- American movement by Islamic peoples will never end until we stop fucking with them.

5. Thanks; I thought nothing would change, though this admin would
politicize it to the high heavens. The fact they've been concentrating on the wrong target-Iraq-would probably never enter into that dialogue either.:eyes:

7. Washington Journal
Asked this question on is it important to catch OBL Callers said yes and no, but a very good point was made to be considered. We can't try Saddem w/o a circus. Can we PROVE OBL is guilty in an American court of law? Whom would the jurors of his peers be? This would be a circus and what happens if we 'hung' the trial or found him not guily because be could not prove our case?
